Screw perfection. Real life is better.

I photograph Day In The Life sessions for imperfect and unapologetic families. Documentary photography celebrates your messy, funny, intimate, sweet, weird, and awesome family moments.

No fake smiles for the camera. No holding your breath hoping the kids will be good. No fussing with outfits or praying for fair weather.  The only thing to do is be yourselves.

Real Moments Matter.

Have you ever flipped though an old photo album from your childhood and felt the memories begin to resurface? Years from now, what will you have wished you'd recorded today? What's most important to you? For me, it's the people, the stories, and their moments together. It's what connects us and makes life meaningful. In this modern world filled with competition for perfection, let's not forget about what's real and deep and true. Real moments matter.

No stress, no fuss.

I shoot family sessions with a documentary, or photojournalistic approach.

Family photojournalists don't tell you what to do or where to stand. They don't even move objects or flip light switches. We work with the available light and we're trained to know how to use it to our advantage, even when it's dim! We move ourselves around instead of staging the elements in the room. We use our intuition and experience to make sure we're in the right place at the right time when something awesome happens.

We appreciate that life isn't always perfect. We are truth-seekers and we take the chaos with the sweetness. We are drawn by moments and storytelling, not trends. We want to document real life in an honest and timeless way, so that when you look back on the photos years from now, instead of cringing, your heart bursts remembering your family's stories.

What does this mean for you? Well, all the work is on me, and you don't have to do a thing. Don't stress out about outfits, don't worry about cleaning up (unless it makes you feel good!) and don't worry about your kids' behavior. All I need from you is a little bit of openness and vulnerability. Be you. Unapologetically. And the magic will happen.

“Life is amazing. And then it’s awful. And then it’s amazing again. And in between the amazing and awful it’s ordinary and mundane and routine. Breathe in the amazing, hold on through the awful, and relax and exhale during the ordinary. That’s just living heartbreaking, soul-healing, amazing, awful, ordinary life. And it’s breathtakingly beautiful.”

Christine is truly gifted in her art, her approach and her style! From the moment she stepped into our home, everyone felt completely at ease. It's amazing having someone else document your life because they capture moments that you didn't even know were happening and captured them in a way that you never could.

Viewing our images for the first time was amazing and almost brought me to tears.

I am truly blessed to have these photos and Christine is absolutely wonderful, creative, passionate and professional. Thank you a million times over!

OH MY WORD. I am so in love with my family and these photos.

It's easy to get wrapped up in the hurry of life but these images have helped me to slow down and truly cherish the everyday moments more! Yes, I see imperfections in myself, little flaws I'm sure other people don't see but what I see most is the happiness and love within my family. The love between a husband and wife, the love of a mama and dada and the unconditional love of a little boy who sees nothing but heroes when he looks at his parents.

Thank you Christine. These are photos and memories that will fill our home for a long while ... or until our next session with you!

All of my worries melted away as soon as I met Christine! She came over around noon and left at 8 pm. she literally spent ALL day with me and my two tikes! I never felt awkward or like she was judging me. IN FACT I felt quite the opposite! Christine and I clicked right away. She was easy to talk to and never seemed bored with our day to day!

She captured the most precious moments I never even THOUGHT to take pictures of before. And when I look at them I really treasure how precious my family is.

Christine is a talented artist. I would recommend her to everyone!
